Snow business
Many parents and carers are ringing to ask whether our school is open or closed. For the present, we remain open. 6th January 2010
You may have noticed that a lot of local schools have been closing due to the bad weather. We promise to make every effort to remain open as long as we can provide a safe environment for your children.
Please don't worry - if we decide to close, it will only be for one of the following reasons:
- Health and Safety standards cannot be kept up due to weather - problems with heating, essential deliveries, building unsafe.
- Serious shortage of staffing due to travel problems.
Closure would be announced on Viking FM, Radio Humberside, this website and through email and text.
Just as we did with the flooding in 2007, we would need to contact families quickly to evacuate the building if the weather took a serious turn during the day. Please ensure that we have up to date emergency contact numbers for all the children.
For the present, the school remains open and the children continue to have fun in the snow!
