Dear Parents / Carers
Welcome back at the start of this new term, and new year. I hope you have all enjoyed your Christmas break.
Our theme this term is Generations. We will be focussing on recent history from 1970s onwards. We will be investigating how inventions and technology, fashion, sport, entertainment and lifestyle have changed. We will look at some of the major events in Hull over that time. Expect the children to be quizzing you on what you remember from your childhood and how it is different today!
PE lessons are on Wednesday afternoons so please ensure your child has their PE kit in school. As well as using the hall, if the weather is nice, we will try and have some sessions outside. If possible please include some outdoor trainers and tracksuit bottoms.
Homework will be sent home on a Thursday. Please bring it back to school as soon as you have completed it. At the latest we need it back by the following Tuesday so that it can be marked and reissued. Homework will usually include some reading comprehension work, spellings and maths.
We welcome the use of a water bottle in school, so that the children can have a drink of water when they need one.
